MyFutprint Selects FanGirl As Licensing Agent

Popular manga publisher MyFutprint Entertainment, home of the world’s most diverse manga-inspired creators, and digital publisher of the flagship magazine and brand Saturday AM, has selected FanGirl Consulting & Brand Management, LLC as its official agent. Writers Form #DisneyMustPay Task Force In Royalty Dispute

Disney has been getting back into the publishing business in a big way in recent years, but the acquisition of several publishing houses has also brought some headaches in the form of writers who say they are owed unpaid royalties. Half a dozen writers’ organizations have joined the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) in forming the task force, which is demanding the Walt Disney Company pay all royalties owed to authors. Disney says it is working to resolve the situation, which arose after it acquired a number of publishing companies, with a spokesperson saying the company “continues to work directly with agents and authors to resolve any issues or any outstanding payments. Aconyte Publishing Novels Inspired by Marvel, Assassin’s Creed

The newly launched Aconyte Books says it’s publishing a new series of novels inspired by Marvel’s hit tabletop miniatures game Crisis Protocol, and a series based on the Assassin’s Creed video game series. Aconyte is the novels division of Asmodee Entertainment, created last year to deliver on the Asmodee slogan: “Great games, amazing stories!”, and to create new  content to be leveraged on further entertainment platforms. Unlike many publishing houses, Aconyte focuses very tightly on becoming a “go-to partner” for tie-in fiction, inspired by the world’s most popular brands. Jazwares Pens Multi-Year Marvel Deal For Costumes

Superhero suits for the masses—and their pets—will be hitting stores in 2022, thanks to a new, multi-year deal between global toyco Jazwares and Marvel Entertainment. Jazwares announced the deal, saying they will produce an all-new line of costumes and costume accessories. Marvel and Yoobi Partner on Heroic Back-To-School Line

The school, home and office supplies company Yoobi announced this week a major collaboration with Marvel, consisting of a ‘super-powered’ collection of back-to-school products. Yoobi says the line will combine Marvel’s iconic characters from comic books and film with Yoobi’s bold designs in a limited-edition collection. Yoobi describes itself as a “give-back brand” that believes all children should have an equal opportunity to learn and be creative, which is why Yoobi has operated on a “buy one, give one” model since launching in 2014. Brands Taking A Deep Dive Into NFT Market
