The entertainment development company Falcon’s Beyond is officially opening its Katmandu Theme Park in Punta Cana on March 15.
Falcon’s Beyond is an entertainment company that specializes in IP creation and expansion. The new park features rides and attractions inspired by the company’s original, proprietary franchise The Hidden Realms of Katmandu.
The new Punta Cana Katmandu theme park includes four marquee attractions called Voyage of the Fathom Wanderer, Legend of the Desirata, Challenge of the Mad Mage and EtherQuest.
Voyage of the Fathom Wanderer is a suspended theater attraction, while Legend of the Desirata is a 4D dark ride that tells the Katmandu Hidden Realms origin story. Challenge of the Mad Mage is an ON!X 4D interactive theater attraction that features an array of technological features, and EtherQuest is an interactive role-playing walk-through attraction where guests take on the role of characters in a Katmandu-themed adventure.
Additional attractions at the park include a mini golf course, an outdoor ropes course, four indoor climbing courses and a Katmandu-themed carousel. The park also offers several themed food and beverage venues, carnival-style games, retail shops and an arcade.
