The Licensing Leadership Summit begins on Wednesday as the culmination of the month-long virtual Festival of Licensing Event: Here’s what you’ll see, or what you’ll be missing, at this inaugural event.
Taking place from Oct. 28-29, the two day event will bring together executives and C-suite professionals as they gather to network and listen to discussions from the licensing industry’s thought leaders.
The event kicks off with a keynote from Daniel Bobroff, Co-Founder of ASOS Ventures and the CEO at Coded Futures, who will speak about how retailers can use ‘gamification’ to supercharge their retail sales.
This practical keynote will provide the latest thinking in how gamification is changing the world of retail, across its entire value chain, and reshaping organisations. Learn how to use simple techniques for your customers today, and leverage gamification as the winning effect for your business, culture and bottom line.
Attendees can also gain insights from top industry veterans through four “Ask Me Anything” sessions, where the accent will be on transferring knowledge to attendees on the topics most important to them.
A second keynote will feature Dr. Wes Wang, who will reveal a new technology protecting licensees from counterfeit products.
Other sessions will be ‘on demand’, meaning they are available to attendees throughout both live event days, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. ET.
Among the most interesting we found was a presentation on “How Games Ate the Licensing World.” Digital media consultant Shaan Akbar and Chris Petrovic, an SVP at Zynga Inc., will explain how the $110 billion video game industry is now on track to generate more revenues than movies and television combined!
Thursday begins with a keynote from Marcus East, technical director of Google’s Office of the Chief Technical Officer. East will speak on how licensors and licensees can get ready for the ongoing digital disruption of the retail sector.
Registration for the summit is still open at a cost of $599. Click HERE for the registration form.
