Marvel Launches Year Long Product Campaign for 2021

The wildly successful Disney superhero franchise Marvel is giving its fans plenty of reasons to celebrate the New Year, announcing a full year of new Marvel Studios inspired product reveals spanning toys, games, books, apparel, home décor and more. Mirroring Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series rollouts, Marvel Must Haves will serve as the preeminent source on Marvel.com for product reveals supporting each new series, beginning with Marvel Studios’ WandaVision, premiering on Jan. 15.

The news comes shortly after Disney announced a huge slate of new films and television programming this year, beginning with the new series WandaVision on Disney+ that is seen as the beginning of an all new story arc for the Marvel universe.

“Fans tuning into Disney+ this year will experience Marvel like never before with six exhilarating series, complemented by must-have merchandise featuring character favorites and milestone moments,” said Paul Gitter, SVP, Marvel Licensing. “Marvel Must Haves is an unprecedented weekly celebration where fans around the world can discover cool new products that authentically celebrate each new episode.”

Every Monday, starting Jan. 18 and running through the end of the year, Marvel will debut epic new product highlights. Premiering on Jan. 15 on Disney+, WandaVision marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who reprise their parts from the Avenger movie franchise. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Weekly reveals will roll out until December and include product offerings around new characters and cliffhangers. Marvel Must Haves will include licensed products from some of the world’s biggest brands including Hasbro, LEGO, Funko, Her Universe, Loungefly and others. A wide array of merchandise will also be available from shopDisney.com, select Disney Parks, Amazon, Hot Topic, Ulta, Walmart and Target, teeing up to additional series launches including, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If…?, Ms. Marvel, and Hawkeye.
