“At Moonbug, we’re committed to developing premium, enriching content that parents and children can enjoy together, and a key part of this mission is ensuring our IP is accessible globally,” said Simon Philips, senior advisor at Moonbug. “Redibra’s award-winning work and thoughtful approach to brand management makes it the right partner for us to help Brazilian kids build deeper connections with our beloved characters.”
Redibra is a well known and successful licensing agency that also serves as a licensing agent for other major brands, including Coca-Cola, Nintendo, Chevrolet, and Care Bears.
Moonbug has developed a strong global following with a large and dedicated audience in Brazil, where its content is broadcast on both Netflix and YouTube. In October last year Moonbug began producing its music videos in Portuguese, the main language spoken in Brazil.
The expansion into branded merchandise is fairly new for the young and rapidly growing content conglomerate. Moonbug first began working on product partnerships in October of 2019 with its Little Baby Bum property, which now has a line of toys and games available at Walmart or through Amazon.
