The quirky pet accessory company Pawsonify is launching its first ever video game collaboration.
Pawsonify is quite a unique company, as it essentially exists “to enliven the relationships between pets and their geeky humans.”
The company’s main focus is to seek licenses based on popular anime and games, and bring these ‘geek culture’ products to the market as pet accessories. Pawsonify’s team of pet and anime lovers work out of a production facility in California, where they turn out a variety of pet products crafted with the latest in popular anime hits.
But Pawsonify had never completed a video game license until now, as it partners with gaming studio Atlus on the Persona 5 Royal product line.
Persona 5 was the sixth installment in the role playing video game, and follows the main hero known a Joker, who transfers to a new school after being charged with assault. During the school year, he and other students acquire a new power, and become a group of secret vigilantes known as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.
The anime-themed game takes place in a world known as the Metaverse … and no, it’s not THAT Metaverse. In Persona, the Metaverse is a supernatural realm, where the heroes battle enemies known as Shadows.
And apparently pets love it. Or, at least their human friends do.
Pawsonify is issuing its first Persona 5 Royal products today, including branded collars, leashes, and ID tags. Designs will feature the Phantom thieves emblem and the characters Joker, Fox and Skull. All products will be available for purchase on Pawsonify’s website at www.pawsonify.com/collections/persona-5-royal.
