TOMY International has developed a licensing partnership with Cottage Door Press for a line of co-branded gift sets featuring the new YumiAmi doll brand.
The YumiAmi line of soft dolls was developed in-house by the US brand design team of TOMY International. TOMY International is a global designer, producer, and marketer of high-quality licensed toys for key retail demographics.
The licensed YumiAmi doll line features five different culturally-diverse female dolls aimed at children from three to five years old. Each doll is packaged with a book designed by Cottage Door Press that expands on the character’s unique story and culture.
Cottage Door Press is an independent publisher of children’s books that focuses on the importance of early literacy. The books and dolls will be sold as a gift set to promote inclusivity and self-confidence in young children.
“With the addition of the book, children will learn about each girl and how they interact with each other,” said Julie Gwaltney, Senior Director at TOMY International.
“The stories not only share a bit about each girl’s culture, but also reflect confident young girls who can (and do!) achieve anything they want to. We developed this line to be both inclusive and empowering for preschool girls.”
TOMY International will debut the new YumiAmi and Cottage Door Press co-branded gift sets at Diverse Marketing’s Showroom Floor 4, Room 439 at Dallas Toy Fair. The gift sets will be available for purchase beginning in July 2023.
