The global shoe brand Reebok has officially unveiled its new Jurassic Park collection (pictured here) developed in partnership with Universal Brand Development.
This first-ever line for Reebok celebrates the long history of the Jurassic Park films through the lens of the original film, released in 1993 by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. Reebok says the collection includes both footwear and apparel, and each item pays homage to characters and props from the original film.
For example, the Instapump Fury OG shoe is inspired by the distinctive Jurassic Park guest vehicles, while the Zig Devil Kinetica resembles the SUVs driven by the Jurassic Park staff members. The Club C 85 shoe is described as an homage to character Dennis Nedry, with a floral print heel like the shirt he wears at the beginning of the film. Another of the Club C85 models is inspired by Dr. Alan Grant, the classic leather shoe is inspired by Dr. Ian Malcolm’s obsession with chaos theory, and the Pump Omni Zone II has dinosaur graphics reminiscent of the Dilophosaurus in the film.
The line includes everything from pre-school to adult sizing, as well as a selection of similarly themed apparel for adults. Reebok’s Jurassic Park footwear and apparel collection will be available on Reebok.com beginning on July 30.
