Licensing International and IAAPA Partner to Bridge Licensing and Attractions Industries

August 14, 2025

TLL Staff

Licensing International has formed a strategic partnership with the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the leading global organization for the attractions industry.

The alliance aims to deepen connections between licensing and attractions by providing members of both associations with expanded access to educational resources, industry events, and business development opportunities. The collaboration is set to roll out later this year.

Under the agreement, IAAPA members will gain access to special booth rates at key global licensing events, including Licensing Expo, Brand Licensing Europe, and Licensing Expo China.

Licensing International will also develop tailored programming for IAAPA, such as curated panels and sessions featuring executives from both industries. Ongoing initiatives will spotlight market trends and innovations through interviews with industry leaders.

In exchange, IAAPA will grant Licensing International members promotional access to select educational offerings via its Learning Management System, along with access to certain research reports. Licensing International will also debut a presence at the IAAPA Expo in 2025, featuring a dedicated brand activation area, and will expand its footprint in 2026 with a full exhibit pavilion.

“This partnership with IAAPA reflects the growing importance of collaboration between the licensing and attraction industries,” said Maura Regan, President of Licensing International. “As consumer expectations evolve, so do the opportunities for brands to connect in meaningful and memorable ways.

“Through this alliance, we are empowering our members and IAAPA members with new tools, insights, and content to drive innovation, cross-industry connection, and expand global impact.”

The collaboration is expected to benefit a wide range of businesses, from theme parks and attractions to licensors, licensees, and brand owners. According to IAAPA, the shared goal is to enhance professional development while creating new avenues for partnerships.

More information about the partnership and future programming will be available through LicensingInternational.org and IAAPA.org in the coming months.
