The London Studio has secured a deal with Tall Boy Prints for a licensed wall art collection featuring the Art of Drag.
The London Studio is a UK-based design company that specializes in creating art and greeting cards through both its in-house design team and licensing partnerships with outside artists.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Art of Drag to a set of prints from Tall Boy Prints, one of the leading names in wall art and a company with a justifiably strong reputation for curating collections of exceptional images – and of course a company that shares our passion for sustainability,” said The London Studio director, Soula Zavacopoulos.
“Tall Boy Prints is a wonderful addition to the fast-growing Art of Drag licensing programme.”
The licensed wall art collection includes six high-quality Art of Drag prints. The six pieces in the print collection include the Art of Drag’s signature style of redesigning well-known paintings by famous artists to feature images of LGBTQ+ drag artists.
Each original Art of Drag artwork was created by an independent art house of LGBTQ+ artists and allies.
The Art of Drag print collection officially launched on June 9, 2023 on Tall Boy Print’s e-commerce website to coincide with this year’s Pride Month.
“Our aim is always to work with exceptional images that will bring colour, originality and joy to people’s homes – and Art of Drag does all that and more,” said Tall Boy Prints director, Karen Mace. “The stunning and witty imagery would be a hit with customers any time, but launching these artworks during Pride Month is both very appropriate and very special. We’ve immensely enjoyed working with The London Studio and its talented team on these wonderful and memorable prints.”
Tall Boy Prints and The London Studio plan to collectively donate 20% of the proceeds from the Art of Drag print sales during Pride Month to the LGBTQ+ charitable organization, The Albert Kennedy Trust (akt).
The Albert Kennedy Trust provides housing aid, specialist support, skills training, and more to LGBTQ+ youth in the UK who are experiencing homelessness or unsafe living environments.
In addition, Tall Boy Prints will work with its sustainability partner Ecologi to plant a tree for each Art of Drag print sold.
