Buckle up, gamers: Volkswagen is steering into the fast lane of interactive entertainment with the help of Beanstalk, a leading brand licensing agency.
The global agency has been named the automaker’s exclusive global licensing partner for video games.
The collaboration intends to supercharge Volkswagen’s digital presence by expanding its lineup of new and classic cars into racing titles, open-world environments, and sandbox games. That would include the iconic Volkswagen vehicles like the original VW Beetle, right up to cutting-edge modern vehicles from the all-electric ID series.
Whether you’re drifting through AAA racing sims or just trying not to crash your Golf into a pixelated tree in Roblox, you might be seeing a lot more VWs on the virtual road soon.
“We are excited to embark on this collaboration with Beanstalk,” said Peter Jost, Managing Director for Volkswagen Accessories, Lifestyle, and Licensing. “Their expertise will help us bring the iconic Volkswagen brand to younger audiences and new digital landscapes.
“It’s about creating early brand connections and memorable experiences worldwide.”
Volkswagen has already made appearances in digital garages, but with Beanstalk in the driver’s seat for licensing, the brand is looking to expand its footprint across eGames in a more structured, strategic way. It’s the licensing equivalent of switching from a Sunday drive to a qualifying lap at Nürburgring.
Beanstalk CEO Allison Ames says the agency is ready to hit the accelerator on this new program for Volkswagen.
“From iconic AAA racing titles to creative platforms like Roblox, we’re excited to work with VW to deliver meaningful placements that reflect the brand’s global appeal,” Ames said. “It’s an opportunity to introduce Volkswagen to a new generation of fans who grew up modding cars in video games before they ever got behind the real wheel.”
So, if you’re a video game racing enthusiast, don’t be surprised when a classic Kombi or futuristic ID buzzes past you on the race track.
