Cartoon Saloon Brand Development hit the floor at Licensing Expo this week, after the release of their pre-school movie, Puffin Rock and The New Friends.
Cartoon Saloon is a renowned animation studio from Ireland, with five Academy Award and two Golden Globe nominations and many award wins including BAFTA and Emmy titles.
The new film is now available to rent or purchase on Google TV, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV. The movie is based on the success of their multi-award winning Puffin Rock preschool series, currently streaming on Netflix.
“It’s great to have such a lovely movie launch, and support the existing two seasons of Puffin Rock shows currently available to stream, and to see the interest really building as the brand develops across the U.S. and further afield,” said general manager Brian Tyrell. “We are also beyond thrilled to also have been awarded the National Parenting Product Awards 2024 Winner for Sustainability.”
In addition to existing licensees such as GreenRe (sustainable stationery), Snuggly Figs (Bamboo Infant wear and apparel), Value Add Games (Games & Puzzles), Cartoon Saloon have also added some of the new characters introduced in the movie to their recycled Plush Range.
Based on the award-winning TV series, Puffin Rock and the New Friends sees our family favorites, Oona, Baba, May, and Mossy joined by a new cast of characters as Isabelle, Phoenix, and Marvin arrive on the island. It’s an action-packed story which celebrates the planet’s magnificent natural environment, and features themes of belonging, courage, and friendship.
