January 12, 2024

The British auto brand Cosworth is marking 65 years of innovation with a new licensing program led by Faster Brands.

Cosworth is one of the world’s leading designers of engines and advanced automotive components. The company has a rich and storied history designing engines for world famous Formula 1 racing teams, and developing powertrains for some of the world’s most advanced cars.

The company is now working with its licensing agency, the aptly named Faster Brands, on celebrating 65 years of innovative firsts both on the racetrack and in building hypercars.

Faster Brands is a boutique licensing agency with its two principals, Chris Parkes and David Bickers M.B.E.,  having over 70 years of Global Licensing experience between them across a wide range of brands from corporate to character, art to fashion, sports personalities to rock bands and stars, automotive to historic venues.

While the team has already signed a number of licensing deals, Faster Brands managing director Chris Parkes says Cosworth is actively seeking suitable partners.

“Cosworth has a such rich heritage in motorsport spanning over 65 years and we a proud to be working them to find the right partnerships that celebrate their past and present successes,” Parkes says. “In particular I am focussed in finding partners in luxury lifestyle products.”

In the meantime, Cosworth has announced a number of new licensing programs.

F1 champions Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart and Nigel Mansell, along with the Cosworth Group, have been working with Faster Brands to negotiate licence agreements and collaborations with Hornby Hobbies (in conjunction with the Ford Motor Company) for die cast and Scalextrix slot racing models using the Ford Escort Cosworth and Ford Sierra Cosworth.

Other recent licenses include a funky colab apparel range with Caffeine & Machine and T-shirt ranges for ASOS and Next.

As well, using their rich heritage in motor racing, Cosworth has launched a range of wristwatches designed using the companies branding and liveried race helmet packaging with leading bespoke watch company Dar, and supported by great historic stories, targeting collectors, consumer retailers, and specialist on-line direct marketing sectors.

Fans can also keep a lookout for Cosworth’s entry into the world of e-sports, with a unique high-end racing simulation partnership for gaming and e-sports fans and professionals to be announced shortly.

Cosworth Group Holdings is a UK-founded company with locations in England and North America. The company has more than 65 years of history, designing a number of innovative firsts in powerplant and race car design, manufacturing, and revolutionary technology.

Cosworth designs and manufacture components and provides technological support to many leading companies in Formula 1, Indycar and GT motorsports, and is heavily involved in hypercar development with Aston Martin, Bizzarini, Gordon Murray Automotive, and several F1 Race teams
