Crayola Adds Color to Dwell With Dignity Program

October 5, 2023

Crayola has collaborated with Dwell with Dignity to bring Colors of Kindness to the organization’s Thrift Studio fundraising event.

Dwell with Dignity is a non-profit organization located in Dallas, Texas that provides interior design services for family homes and community spaces.

The non-profit is backed by the support of over 100 designers, 1,100 dedicated volunteers, and 150 sponsors and donors.

Dwell with Dignity has completed more than 225 home design projects and 30 community design spaces since the organization was founded in 2009.

“As a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives by providing beautiful living spaces for those in need, we firmly believe in the power of color to inspire impeccable design,” said Dwell with Dignity director, Ashley Sharp. “Color has the remarkable ability to evoke a sense of well-being, peace, and comfort – precisely what we strive to provide for the families and communities we serve.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Crayola for their invaluable partnership and unwavering support in our mission to create dignified interiors for family residences and community spaces.”

The licensing collaboration between Crayola and Dwell with Dignity focused on supporting the non-profit’s annual six-week-long Thrift Studio fundraiser.

Crayola provided the Thrift Studio event with a Colors of Kindness Corner which allowed attendees to view and interact with a kindness wall that featured motivational phrases from Crayola’s Colors of Kindness crayon line.

The Colors of Kindness Corner also included supporting products from the Colors of Kindness collection.

“Crayola Colors of Kindness products and licensed merchandise are intentionally designed to amplify the conversation around positive self-talk and help parents and teachers raise creatively alive kids that know how to lead with positive intention,” said Crayola SVP, Warren Schorr. “We are always looking for meaningful ways to extend the Crayola brand, which this colorful collaboration does as Dwell with Dignity’s mission embodies the Colors of Kindness message by empowering people to become the best of themselves.”

“A bonus is that the Dallas market is also home to one of our Crayola Experience attractions where we spark the imagination and celebrate the colorful originality of every child.”

In addition, Crayola’s Colors of Kindness initiative served as the inspiration for two Thrift Studio room vignettes that were created by Dwell with Dignity designers.

The Thrift Studio room vignettes are made using sourced and donated furniture, artwork, and home decor items that can be purchased by fundraiser attendees.

A subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Crayola is an art supply company that specializes in children’s creative expression products and experiences.
