Cryptoys Launches Licensed Star Wars Volume III NFT Collection

May 9, 2024

By Allison Watkinson
TLL Reporter
The Cryptoys NFT company and Lucasfilm, Ltd. have announced a licensed collection of digital toys called Star Wars Volume III.
Designed to coincide with this year’s Star Wars Day celebration, the new Cryptoys NFT collection will include licensed characters, accessories and a wide range of stylized digital collectibles inspired by the global Star Wars franchise.
The collection will feature weekly character drops on the Cryptoys platform beginning on May 8 and ending on May 22, 2024.
The Star Wars characters featured in the Cryptoys NFT toy collection are Grogu, Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze and Boba Fett.
The Star Wars NFTs will offer the Cryptoys distinct unboxing and unwrapping feature and will be fully-interactable to allow owners to play with the 3D toys across a variety of digital experiences.
Initial sales for the Star Wars Volume III collection end on July 19, 2024 and will then be sold to the highest bidder and vaulted on a secured blockchain platform.
Vaulted Cryptoys may be offered for primary sale to collectors in the future.
Cryptoys is a software company that specializes in developing digital toys and collectible NFTs that are based on licensed entertainment brands.
Founded in 2021 by OnChain Studios, the Cryptoys company has previously launched officially licensed collections with entertainment IPS such as Disney’s Mickey and Friends and Masters of the Universe.
The licensing rights to the Star Wars entertainment franchise are owned by Lucasfilm, Ltd., which has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company since its acquisition in 2012.
