Latin film and television star Sofia Vergara has launched a new coffee business called ¡DÍOS MIO!
The phrase, translating to ‘My God!’, is how Latinos typically express their appreciation for a really good cup of coffee, Vergara says.
Vergara, who is also an entrepreneur involved in a number of ventures, announced her new venture this week, saying the new coffee brand is now available on Walmart.com.
Born in Colombia and proud of the traditions of her native country, Vergara says her new ¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE is an expression of passion and authenticity. The brand is meant to evoke the traditions and flavors of the country, while also celebrating the female coffee growers behind the brand.
“¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE comes from my love of Colombian coffee and my high standards when it comes to the quality of my coffee,” says Vergara. “I grew up in Colombia, drinking Colombian coffee. We have spent the last few years creating these blends with an amazing team of female coffee growers behind us. Women represent 30% of Colombian coffee growers, and it’s an honor to highlight their families and legacies through ¡DÍOS MIO! COFFEE.”
Launching on Walmart.com and www.diosmiocoffee.com, each roast will be available in whole and ground beans ($14.99/12oz., $34.70/42oz.), K-Cups ($19.99/22 cups), and Nespresso pods ($34.70/40 capsules).
