ZAG has signed an agreement with Ferrero for a multi-territory, in-store promotion for its licensed property, Miraculous.
Ferrero is a multinational manufacturer of chocolate and confectionary products based in Italy. The licensing agreement for the multi-territory, European promotion with Ferrero was brokered by DeAPlaneta Entertainment, ZAG’s Spanish co-production partner and licensing agent for the Miraculous brand.
The licensed promotion begins this fall with Ferrero’s Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g egg featuring eight characters from the Miraculous brand.
“Ferrero’s Kinder Surprise eggs continue to be as popular today as ever with children and adults alike,” said Hyde Schram, Vice President of Global Partnerships at ZAG.
“With this new promotion, we are once again combining two powerful brands to bring these tasty chocolate treats and beloved characters to existing and new audiences across Europe.”
The CGI-animated superhero series Miraculous was created by ZAG and co-produced with Method Animation. The series follows two teens who magically transform into superheroes called Ladybug and Cat Noir. ZAG is a global independent animation studio that specializes in entertainment for TV, film, and digital platforms.
Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir is currently in its fifth season, with episodes releasing this fall. An animated feature is also in production for the franchise.
“Ferrero’s chocolate and confectionery products are well-known among families and children and their marketing strategy is one of the finest of the market,” said Sara Redolfi, Category Manager at DeAPlaneta Entertainment. “We have been collaborating with Ferrero since 2018, and they continue to be a strategic partner for the Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir brand. We are confident that the target audience will respond enthusiastically to the promotion.”
The characters featured on the promotion include Ladybug, Shadow Moth, Rena Furtive, Vesperia, Astrocat, Cosmobug, Eagle, and Renren.
