Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have officially released the highly-anticipated multiplayer action adventure Evil Dead: The Game.

Evil Dead: The Game is the first multi-platform console and PC game based on the cult favourite Evil Dead film and television franchise. The title is licensed by Boss Team Games from Renaissance Pictures, STUDIOCANAL, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, and Lionsgate.

The licensing deal for the Evil Dead IP was handled by the full-service licensing agency, Creative Licensing, on behalf of STUDIOCANAL. Creative Licensing was founded in 1982 and specializes in long-term brand development.

Boss Team Games is well-known in the industry for developing and publishing high-quality games based on licensed characters and franchises for console, PC, and mobile devices.

Saber Interactive, Boss Team’s partner on the project, is a global publisher and game developer that is known for creating innovative games for all major platforms based on original and licensed IPs.

Evil Dead: The Game features co-op PvP and PvE multiplayer combat and is available for purchase on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store.

Inspired by the iconic horror of the Evil Dead franchise, Evil Dead: The Game brings the series’ most popular characters together in a raging fight with the forces of darkness.

Evil Dead: The Game promises to deliver an immersive action experience. Players can choose their squad with fan-favorite characters from every era of the franchise. Available characters include Ash, Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, Annie Knowby, Scotty and Lord Arthur.

The game also features more than 25 different weapons and a variety of character classes, each with its own unique abilities.

Players can work as a team of four survivors to defeat Deadites and banish the Kandarian Demon. There is also an alternate mode that allows fans to take on the role of the Demon and use its powers of possession to destroy the survivors.

The launch trailer for the game showcases the large game world and the survivor vs Kandarian Demon gameplay experience. The trailer is full of homages to old-school Evil Dead lore and moments.

The trailer features the original Evil Dead inspired song Come Get Some, which was created by popular recording artist Method Man and hip-hop producer Statik Selektah.

Evil Dead: The Game Deluxe Edition has also been made available for purchase. The Deluxe Edition comes with Season Pass 1, which includes The Classics Bundle, as well as three upcoming DLC packs, which will feature new characters and cosmetics.
