Archie Comics has partnered with the Hours clothing brand for a licensed Archie Andrews apparel collection.
“Archie has been a mainstay in pop culture for a very long time and a perfect alignment us to be collaborating with such an iconic property,” said Hours owner Roman Hessary. “The comics were a big part of us growing up and we’re honored to be reimagining the classic Archie characters through the Hours lens.”
Founded in 2022, Hours is a streetwear clothing brand that specializes in high-quality apparel with minimalist designs.
The partnership between the two companies was brokered by Archie Comics’ licensing agent King Features Syndicate in addition to their Canadian agent Segal Licensing.
“Archie and his friends at Riverdale High are engrained in pop-culture, particularly among younger audiences,” said King Features VP, Jarred Goro. “While Hours is a newer streetwear brand on the scene, they are already making big waves with their trend-forward yet affordable approach, and we are looking forward to seeing the reaction from fans.”
The co-branded Archie Andrews capsule collection includes a variety of Riverdale High-inspired products for both men and women. The products include drop shoulder hoodies, drop shoulder tees, a leather sleeve varsity jacket, flat brim caps, and socks.
Archie Comics is a mass-market comic book publisher and media company that is known for its long-standing entertainment franchises such as Archie, Jughead, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and more. The company’s Archie comic franchise follows the everyday life of a group of teenage friends. The title character of the franchise, Archie Andrews, was first created in 1941. Since the comic series initial debut, the franchise has expanded to include multiple spin-offs, TV series, licensed consumer products, and more.
