The Mokeng (MOK) collectibles platform has expanded into North America through a licensing partnership with the Stars Collective studio and Hana Investments China.
MOK specializes in creating, producing and marketing high-quality collectible statues and toys inspired by entertainment IPs from movies, comic books, anime, TV series and more.
For the three-year licensing partnership, MOK, Stars Collective and Hana Investment will work together to extend the global reach of movie IPs into the realms of games, toys and collectibles.
As part of this initiative, MOK is collaborating on exclusive collectible releases tied to Stars Collective and Hana Investments’ upcoming slate of entertainment media through the Stars-Hana fund. This includes new entertainment properties like the Genius Crime franchise, the Kung Fu universe and a new horror franchise featuring female ghost stories inspired by Asian folklore and legends. It will also include licensed movie IPs from filmmakers like James Wan, Sam Raimi and Roy Lee.
The collaborative licensing partnership has already brought the MOK Collectibles application to Google Play and to the Apple App Store in North America.
The MOK platform offers a comprehensive and immersive retail and trading experience that is geared towards collectors of high-end toys and figures. The platform includes advanced features such as pre-order options, blind boxes, AI integration, smart search capabilities, content personalization and interactive 3D product showcases.
Founded in 2020, Stars Collective is a Hollywood entertainment studio and talent incubator that utilizes technology to connect filmmakers and artists with established directors, producers and actors from the entertainment industry. Star Collective’s incubator program currently offers opportunities to develop content with professionals such as Sam Raimi, Xiaoming Huang, Donna Gigliotti, Gianni Nunnari, Chris Lee, Sanping Han, Paula Wagner, Liming Ke and more.
