Nelvana Named Canadian Licensing Agency for MGA Entertainment

Nelvana has signed a licensing and consumer product representation agreement with MGA Entertainment for the company’s Canadian expansion initiatives.
A subsidiary of Corus Entertainment, Nelvana is an entertainment company and licensing agency that specializes in producing and distributing branded children’s entertainment, in addition to providing licensing and merchandising expertise to its global partners.
As MGA’s new Canadian licensing agent, Nelvana will be responsible for MGA’s consumer product partnerships, marketing agreements and retail support throughout the country, excluding toys.
“We are proud to partner with Nelvana as our exclusive licensing agent to help bring our brands to more fans across Canada,” said MGA Entertainment SVP, Mindy Puente-Escalera. “Their more than 50 years of experience in children’s entertainment internationally combined with our globally-loved, award-winning brands, will grow our brands across categories beyond toys in the country.”
MGA Entertainment  is a global company that creates and develops a wide range of consumer products and entertainment media based on proprietary brands.
The company’s portfolio of wholly-owned brands features a variety of international IPs including Bratz, Rainbow High, Little Tikes, MGA Miniverse and L.O.L. Surprise!.
These brands are currently available to consumers through a wide range of mediums such as toys, TV series, movies, social media, apparel, accessories, video games, consumer electronics, home décor, stationery and sporting goods.
