Spotlight.1888 has been appointed to represent Clangers in the UK and Ireland by international media group and rights owner, Coolabi.
Clangers is a preschool stop-motion animated series that features a family of mouse-like alien creatures who communicate in whistles and live on a little blue planet in space.
Created by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate, Clangers initially debuted on BBC Television back in 1969 and concluded airing in 1972.
The Clangers series was revitalized by the Coolabi Group with all-new episodes in 2015 for BBC Television’s dedicated preschool channel, CBeebies.
Since its relaunch, the Clangers series has expanded to include over 100 new episodes that are available on the BBC iPlayer and Amazon Kids+.

As a newly-appointed retail agent for Clangers, Spotlight.1888 will seek licensing opportunities for the property by attending trade shows, identifying distribution channels, seeking collaborative partnerships and more.
