Registration for Spielwarenmesse eG’s international business-to-business trade fair, Kids India, has officially opened for exhibitors.
This years’ Kids India trade event will take place from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, 2023 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
The previous edition of the Kids India event featured more than 129 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors from industries including toys, children’s products, sporting goods and more.
The event will also include seminars and interactive podium discussions from industry experts.
“The response has been overwhelmingly positive and demand is already very high,” said Spielwarenmesse eG spokesperson, Christian Ulrich. “We are expecting exhibitor numbers to rise further compared with what was already a very successful event last year.”
According to Germany Trade & Invest, turnover in India’s toy industry is expected to increase by up to fifteen percent in 2023. This is approximately 10 percentage points above the global average.
This growth is largely due to the demographic structure in India, which includes both a high proportion of young people and a growing middle class with rising incomes and consumption habits.
Spielwarenmesse eG is a global company that provides trade fair organization and marketing services for the toy and consumer goods sector.
The Kids India event is jointly-organized by the company’s subsidiary, Spielwarenmesse India Pvt. Ltd., and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. Additional support comes from industry associations such as the Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC) and The All India Toy Manufacturers’ Association (TAITMA).
