Vineyard Vines Returns to its Roots With Licensed Jeep Collaboration

July 6, 2024

Vineyard Vines has announced a new licensing collaboration with Jeep for a limited-edition apparel collection and promotional campaign.

“The Jeep brand holds a rich, truly American history that is steeped in freedom and adventure and holds a unique place deep in the hearts of our owners and enthusiasts as well as fans and followers,” said Stellantis licensing head, Kim Adams House. “Vineyard Vines and its ‘good life’ ethos expresses a dimension of the Jeep brand’s qualities and its ‘go anywhere, do anything’ spirit. This special collaboration creates an authentic bridge, allowing each brand’s communities to demonstrate their love of both brands at the time that those golden New England summers begin.”

Known for its smiling pink whale logo, Vineyard Vines is a US-based company and lifestyle brand that offers casual apparel and accessories that are inspired by relaxation and fun.

Initially founded in 1998 by brothers Shep and Ian Murray, Vineyard Vines was first sold out of the back of the duo’s Jeep Wrangler. The company’s apparel and accessory products are now sold in over 600 specialty and department stores worldwide, in addition to the brand’s dedicated website and more than 100 freestanding retail locations.

The limited-edition Vineyard Vines x Jeep capsule collection includes a range of co-branded apparel such as hats, shirts, shorts and sweatshirts in both men and women’s sizes. The licensed clothing items are manufactured using soft and comfortable fabrics and feature colors that are inspired by summer sunsets and beach living.

To celebrate the collaboration, a custom Vineyard Vines x Jeep Gladiator vehicle will embark on a promotional road trip that will stop at select locations to showcase the exclusive clothing collection, host live events and advertise the collaboration’s official Sweepstakes promotion.

“In 1998, we followed our dreams and started selling ties out of the back of a Jeep Wrangler on Martha’s Vineyard,” said Vineyard Vines co-founder, Shep Murray. “Now, partnering with the Jeep brand for an exclusive collection, road tour, and give-away is the ultimate ‘every day should feel this good’ moment for us.”

The official Jeep x Vineyard Vines enter-to-win Sweepstakes promotion will give participants the chance to win a customized Vineyard Vines Jeep Gladiator and several other distictive prizes.

“We have been chasing our dream of Vineyard Vines in a Jeep since we were able to drive,” said Vineyard Vines co-founder, Ian Murray. “There’s no better feeling than being behind the wheel of a Jeep vehicle.

“Be it an old CJ-7 or one of today’s Rubicons, the feeling is the same: boundless opportunity, freedom ahead and the ability to chase your dream,” added Murray. “It’s come full circle and we are so happy to be able to share our love of Jeeps by giving away a custom vineyard vines Gladiator Rubicon that we specced out specifically to embody the EDSFTG life.”

Founded in 1941, Jeep is a long-standing SUV brand that delivers high-quality off-road capabilities, comfortable interiors, high-tech vehicle additions and versatile design features. The Jeep brand is owned and operated by the global automotive conglomerate, Stellantis, which was formed in 2021 following the closure of a definitive merger agreement between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and the PSA Group.

The licensing partnership between Jeep and Vineyard Vines was brokered by the dedicated licensing division of IMG.
