Drag Queen Nymphia Wind Goes Bananas with Wildwonder Beverage Collaboration

Wildwonder has partnered with drag queen celebrity Nymphia Wind to launch a new sparkling beverage flavor called Banana Queen.
Wildwonder is a health-focused beverage brand that creates sparkling drinks that incorporate a mixture of live probiotics and prebiotic dietary fiber to promote a healthy gut microbiome.
This new flavor collaboration with Nymphia Wind marks the brand’s first submission into the licensed beverage category.
Combining a mixture of banana puree, fresh-brewed marigold flowers and cream flavoring, Wildwonder’s Banana Queen beverage is USDA-certified organic, non-GMO, vegan, caffeine-free and gluten-free.
“I was intrigued when I first saw wildwonder on Instagram,” said Nymphia Wind. “It had a fun, fresh look, and the gut-healthy drinks drew me in. What meant most to me was collaborating with an Asian-owned business, even better, it’s woman-owned, to build the community. It’s fun to take Nymphia Wind, the banana queen, into different scenarios, and Wildwonder’s team celebrates uniqueness and uninhibited self-expression,” added Wind. “It’s been an inspiring, fruitful adventure.”
Nymphia Wind is a Taiwanese-American drag performer and the first East Asian queen to be named the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The licensed Banana Queen beverage flavor is inspired by aspects of Nymphia Wind’s distinctive artistic style and personal journey.
Banana Queen is designed to reflect the artist’s whimsical personal brand through the color yellow, which is incorporated into many of Nymphia’s signature fashion looks and bananas, which are symbols of prosperity, growth and abundance in Taiwanese culture.
Nymphia Wind is known for incorporating elements and symbolism from traditional Asian art forms and world culture into her performances such as Taiwanese opera, Japanese butoh dance, European Rococo style and more.
“Wildwonder and Nymphia Wind share a mission to amplify Asian heritage and increase representation across our journeys,” said Wildwonder founder, Rosa Li. “At Wildwonder, we create flavors with Eastern herbal wisdom as a base for our drinks, and Nymphia puts her imaginative spin on Asian drag art, paving the way for future generations of Asian drag queens. The Banana Queen flavor fits each of our brands—offering unique and delicious wildwonder flavors and celebrating Nymphia’s love of bananas,” added Li. “We’re delighted with our collaboration and excited to introduce Banana Queen this summer.”
The licensed Banana Queen sparkling beverage is available exclusively through the official Wildwonder e-commerce website and was first debuted at Nymphia Wind’s DragCon booth in Los Angeles.
The Wildwonder beverage company and health drink brand was initially launched in 2020 after founder and CEO, Rosa Li, utilized traditional herbal medicine to help combat the stress and health problems from her previous career as a Wall Street investment banker.
After learning that approximately 70% of the body’s immune system lies in the gut microbiome, Li developed health beverages inspired by traditional healing tonics that were brewed by her grandmother in China combined with sweet fruity flavors.
Wildwonder beverages can now be found at retailers such as Sprouts, Erewhon Market, and select Whole Foods, Target, and Albertsons Safeway locations in the U.S.
Five percent of profits from every Wildwonder beverage goes towards charitable causes that are designed to empower women and marginalized communities.
