WowWee Dreams Big With Barbie Dream Playhouse

October 1, 2021

The innovative play company WowWee, best known for its groundbreaking robots, has launched a new pop-up Barbie Dream House, in partnership with Mattel.
WowWee launched with the introduction of its Robosapien toy robot in 2004, revolutionizing the way people interact with robotic companions or toys, but the company has also developed other lines of consumer entertainment technologies.
That includes a ling known as Pop2Play, which are typically play houses made from durable, proprietary StrongFold cardboard that is both tough and cleans up easily. That innovation attracted Mattel, and has resulted in a full Pop2Play Barbie Dream Playhouse built to the scale of the dolls.

The pop up Barbie Dream Playhouse invites hours of imaginative fun, then folds flat when kids are done. Kids can play inside the bedroom loft, featuring a pop-up bed and dresser along with cardboard accessories so they can play with their own Barbie dolls. The product comes complete with a kitchen, doors and windows that open and close, and more.

“We are beyond thrilled to add the Barbie name to our innovative Pop2Play line!” said Sydney Wiseman, VP of Brand Development & Creative Strategy at WowWee. “I’ve personally been a big fan of this empowering brand since my childhood, and it has been a dream working with Mattel to create this exciting playset that kids everywhere will love to play in, along with their Barbie dolls!”

The Barbie Playhouse comes after WowWee introduced two other products earlier this year. The Pop2Play Rainbow Slide and Sunny Slide, along with two additional playsets, became instant hits at the start of the year, as WowWee introduced a new way to play, with playsets that fold flat to store out of the way.

The Pop2Play Barbie Dream Playhouse will be available in November 2021 at Meijer & Amazon with an MSRP of $59.99.
