LCMA Tags Ciarán Coyle as New COO/President

Ciarán Coyle is bringing his deep experience in the brand licensing industry to a new and critical role at LMCA, as President and COO of one of the world’s top licensing firms.  “Ciarán is exceptionally well suited to build upon and grow LMCA’s leadership role in corporate brand extension licensing, and we are excited to have him aboard,” said Allan Feldman, founder and CEO at LMCA. ZAG Appoints New VP As Part of LatAm Expansion

The award-winning independent animation studio ZAG continues to grow its global consumer products team, appointing its first VP for the Latin America region, former Viacom executive Angela Cortez, to the position of VP, Consumer Products, Latin America, according to Julian Zag, Executive Vice President, Global Operations. Zag says Cortez will be based in Brazil but will also work from the company’s newly opened office in Miami, established to support the burgeoning activity across Latin America. Hasbro’s Finn Arnesen Joins Games Workshop

The Games Workshop Group is diving even deeper into the entertainment business, announcing the appointment of former Hasbro Studios SVP Finn Arnesen as the company’s first Head of Entertainment Development. Games Workshop is best known for its Warhammer gaming franchise, and the company also has its own library of novels and short stories based on the game. Arnesen’s first task in his new role will be to mine that content to develop both animated and live action talent for film and TV series. Bradford Promoted to New Role at Poetic Brands

Licensing veteran Anne Bradford has been promoted to the position of Commercial Director at Poetic Brands, after building out the company’s children’s and baby wear division. Bradford joined the company in September of 2019 with a brief to build out the new division, and saw notable success over the ensuing 18 months, despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic. By the end of 2020 Poetic Brands had signed on several licensing partners, including The Baby Club, Brambly Hedge, Gigantosaurus, the Early Learning Centre, and Tiny Tatty Teddy. ViacomCBS Appoints Licensing Head for China

ViacomCBS Consumer Products (VCP) has appointed Jennifer Pang to lead its business in Greater China. Pang will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Mark Kingston, Senior Vice President of International Licensing. Claire O’Connor, the company’s previous Vice President, Consumer Products & Retail Marketing for the Asia Pacific region, will exit the business. As Vice President and Head of Licensing in Greater China, Pang leads VCP’s overall licensing business across markets in Greater China for all ViacomCBS franchises. Big Bad Boo Hires VP as ‘Head Do-Gooder’

Big Bad Boo Studios, despite its name, is an animation company that wants to do good in the world, and how better to do that than to hire a Vice President in charge of doing good things? VIZ Media Hires Former Netflix Licensing Chief Laurie Takaragawa

VIZ Media announced it’s made a major addition to its licensing team, hiring Laura Takaragawa, the Head of Consumer Licensing at Netflix, as its new VP of Consumer Products Licensing & Promotions. Carley Leads Global Licensing at BBC Studios

BBC Studios is getting serious about licensing, and has promoted veteran exec Andrew Carley to the newly created role of Director of Global Licensing.
