Sakar International and Epic Games have formed a licensing partnership for a line of skateboards and helmets based on Fortnite.
The licensing agreement between Sakar and Epic Games was brokered by the licensing division of the global entertainment company, IMG.
Fortnite is an online video game that features three different game modes that share the same game engine.
These modes include the player-vs-player Battle Royale mode, the cooperative tower defense mode called Fortnite: Save the World, and the sandbox Fortnite Creative mode. Fortnite was developed by the US-based video game and software developer, Epic Games.
“We are very excited to bring gamers everywhere the opportunity to represent Fortnite even when they’re not playing,” said Ralph Sasson, COO of Sakar. “Fortnite has become an iconic piece of pop culture, and Sakar couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Epic Games on this new line of products.”
The licensed product line will include skateboard models, individual decks, and helmets in a variety of designs and styles that feature characters and imagery from the Fortnite video game.
The licensed products will be developed by Sakar International, a global manufacturer of consumer electronics and accessories.
The Fortnite-themed skateboards will be available for purchase online at major retailers for Black Friday and in-stores for 2023.
