Marc Anthony, the top selling salsa artist and multiple Grammy winning singer-songwriter, has signed a ‘first look’ deal with ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) for his production company, Magnus Studios.
Financial details were not disclosed, but the agreement will give ViacomCBS the first look option to pick up all productions from Magnus Studios. VIS says the agreement is part of its’ global strategy of “establishing alliances with the best talents in the entertainment industry to create and produce entertainment content for global audiences.”
This is not the first agreement between the two parties. VIS also signed a deal recently with Magnus Studios for the animated children’s series Gloria Wants to Know It All, which was co-produced with Mundoloco Animation Studios and Lanugo Media.
Magnus Studios says Anthony and his COO Felipe Pimiento will act as the executive producers on the projects being produced under the partnership with VIS.
Anthony, who won the 2020 Grammy for best tropical album for Opus, among other accolades, and Magnus COO Felipe Pimiento will act as executive producers on the slate of projects to be produced under the VIS partnership.
