Bad Birdie and Taco Bell recently teamed up for a collaborative apparel collection and two-day junior golfing event.
The co-branded collection is designed to offer fans a streetwear spin on golf apparel through a selection of pullovers, hats and accessories.
Attendees of the Taco Bell x Bad Birdie Invitational tournament were offered the first chance to preview and select pieces from the limited-edition collection.
“At Bad Birdie, we believe in pushing boundaries while staying true to who we are,” said Bad Birdie CEO, Jason Richardson. “Partnering with Taco Bell felt natural from day one because both of our brands thrive at the intersection of bold creativity and community. This capsule is about celebrating individuality, and the invitational is about empowering the next generation of athletes to express themselves with confidence and purpose.”
Held at the Monarch Beach Golf Links in California, the two-day tournament brought 16 junior golfers together to compete to earn sponsor exemptions for the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass and Puerto Rico Open.
The competition operated with a fast-paced full-day 18-hole stroke play round tournament structure, followed by single-elimination match play designed to determine the top champions.
The two winners received the Ford Championship sponsor exemptions so they can tee off in one real pro-golfing event each.
As an additional activation, the Taco Bell Foundation pledged to make a $2,500 grant to nonprofit organizations selected by each of the participating junior golfers, for a total of $40,000 in donations.
“We’re excited to swing into new territory with Bad Birdie—a brand that’s redefined expressive, unconventional fashion on and off the golf course,” said Taco Bell chief marketing officer, Taylor Montgomery. “This partnership brings our shared love for breaking the mold in a way that celebrates individuality, opens the doors for the next generation of cultural rebel golfers, and delivers something totally unexpected for fans.”
Since 1992, the Taco Bell Foundation is a registered charity that has reached more than 9 million youth across the country through educational grants and scholarships.
