Cottage Door Press has appointed Sean Hynes to serve on its leadership team as the executive vice president of sales.
The new executive appointment comes as the publishing company enters the toy aisle with the launch of its new Luna StoryTime Projector.
In his new role at Cottage Door, Hynes will use his experience working in the consumer products industry to expand the publisher’s presence across international licensing and retail markets.
He will accomplish this by seeking new licensing partnerships, expanding retail agreements and launching new product lines.

Hynes joins Cottage Door Press with more than 30 years of experience in the toy and consumer products industries.
He most recently served as SVP of Sales at VTech, where he assisted the educational toymaker in expanding its footprint with new licensed products and sales agreements.
Before his time at VTech, Hynes held senior leadership roles at several companies where he expanded revenue by launching licensing deals and managing cross-functional teams across sales, marketing and operations.
These companies included Bandai Namco Toys, Hedstrom Corporation, Irwin Toy and American Greetings.
