The classic swimwear brand Anne Cole is working with Excel Branding to find partners in the categories of sleepwear, intimate apparel, hosiery, footwear, and beach accessories.
The company was founded by Anne Cole, known as a fiery, shrewd and outspoken businesswoman who forever changed the male-dominated swimwear industry with her flattering designs and relatable wit. The daughter of silent film star and fashion magnate Fred Cole, Anna Cole became a celebrity in her own right through her designs and her sense of humor, which she applied to the world of women’s fashion.
As she was frequently known to say, “Come and talk to me about your figure problems. If you donʼt have any, letʼs talk about mine.” Or another Cole’ism: “There is no such thing as a bad figure. There are just bad swimsuits.”
Anne first entered the world of fashion in the 1950s at her father’s swimwear company, Cole of California.
As she worked her way through the ranks, her unique perspective on sales and marketing shaped Cole of California into an icon. From there, she launched her eponymous collection, creating styles for women of every age that flatter with effortless ease. Perhaps most famously, Anne created the original Tankini, blending the modesty of a one-piece swimsuit with the flexibility of a two-piece.

Graffiti Artist Dede Available for Select Licensing Opportunities
The Israeli graffiti artist Dede is working with Excel on a limited licensing campaign.
Dede is a Tel-Aviv based, urban narrative artist, who utilizes various mediums to communicate within the public arena.
He started creating his works after finishing his military service, and continued to develop and elaborate them while completing his undergraduate studies at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. These days his works can be viewed at galleries, exhibition spaces, various art events and in the streets of art capitals around the world, such as London, New York, Berlin and Tel-Aviv.
Dede says his inspiration stems from the urban landscape, and from the social and the personal questions it evokes. As he gathers stories and structures hidden within the ever-changing city streets, Dede examines and questions the man-made lifestyle people create for themselves, and reflects on absurd, paradoxical human existence.
While visiting new places, a tension between Home and Away often rises and influences both his studio and outdoor pieces.
Outdoor locations and found objects often serve as a point of departure for the pieces he creates, Excel says. The techniques he later applies, such as assemblage, collage, painting, photography and installation, are chosen based on their ability to highlight the original sources of inspiration and the stories they carry.
Dede says he is primarily motivated by the deep need to leave something after him, and that his art is, for all intents and purposes, a statement of Existence.
