Legends of Learning Launches Angry Birds-Themed Educational Games with Rovio Entertainment

Rovio Entertainment has entered a licensing partnership with Legends of Learning for a series of Angry Birds educational games.
Rovio Entertainment is a global company that specializes in creating, developing and publishing mobile games. Rovio is best known for its Angry Birds entertainment franchise which was initially released as a mobile game in 2009.
The Angry Birds brand now includes various forms of entertainment media, licensed consumer products, published works, animations, and experiential activations.
Facilitated by Angry Birds’ global licensing agency IMG, the partnership will result in a series of educational games that feature characters and settings from the Angry Birds franchise.
“We are thrilled to be working with Rovio and the Angry Birds brand,” said Legends of Learning CEO, Dr. Vadim Polikov. “The combination of this iconic brand with the academic rigor and student engagement that teachers rely on from Legends of Learning is going to be revolutionary. Students are going to love it, and research study after research study has shown that when students are engaged in rigorous game-based learning, increased test scores follow.”
Legends of Learning is an evidence-based educational game platform for K-12 students. The Legends of Learning platform currently includes over two thousand instructional and assessment-focused video games.

The Legends of Learning x Angry Birds educational games will use interactive gameplay, hands-on problem-solving, and familiar characters to teach curriculum-aligned STEM concepts such as angle measurement, collisions, and force interactions.
The Angry Birds educational games will be available through the Legends of Learning platform.
