Xilam Animation has secured several licensing deals for the fourth season of Zig & Sharko, in preparation for the first episode’s debut at MIPCOM.
Launching in September 2023, season four has been acquired by the studio’s longstanding partner Gulli in France, which has also renewed its partnership across the previous three seasons.
In addition, Xilam has sold the new season to its existing licensing partners VRT-Ketnet in Belgium, Discovery and DeA in Italy, Nickelodeon in India, and Nova TV in Israel.
Zig & Sharko is a non-dialogue slapstick comedy by Xilam Animation that is targeted at children of all ages. Zig & Sharko continues to generate impressive ratings internationally, particularly in India where the series resulted in Nickelodeon becoming the leading children’s channel in its evening slot.
Xilam has also established an extensive audience for Zig & Sharko on social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. The Zig & Sharko series has generated billions of views and millions of subscribers on social media.

Founded in 1999, Xilam is a French animation studio that creates, produces and distributes original programs in more than 190 countries for both children and adult audiences. Xilam content is broadcast on multiple television channels and is also available on several online streaming platforms. These platforms include Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, NBC Universal, YouTube and Facebook.
Xilam employs more than 500 individuals, including 400 artists, across its studios in Paris, Lyon, Angoulême and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam.
