The RHS and Sofas & Stuff launch new collection at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show that revisits previous collaborations from their ongoing partnership.
Titled Roots of a Masterpiece, the new collection brings one completely new fabric offering and several existing designs to velvet fabric.
The licensing collection was developed to celebrate the four-year partnership between the RHS and the Sofas & Stuff furniture brand.
“As we continue to explore the vast RHS archive of artworks, this collaboration has evolved – rooted in tradition yet always finding fresh inspiration,” said Sofas & Stuff founder, Andrew Cussins. “The Roots of a Masterpiece campaign will celebrate the enduring beauty of botanical design, reimagined for modern living.”
Named after the granddaughter of Sofas & Stuff founder Andrew Cussins, the new RHS Etta’s Bouquet fabric brings together five botanical paintings by 19th-century artist Caroline Maria Applebee.
The new fabric is available in a standard design, an all-over floral design and a more under-stated striped variety.
Sofa’s & Stuff is bringing seven of its past designs with the RHS to a high-quality printed velvet that will be available across hand-crafted couches, curtains, cushions and upholstery.
“Like nature itself, the RHS fabrics designed over the years by Sofas & Stuff are rich and varied, offering a range of textures and colourways to suit every aesthetic and lifestyle,” said RHS licensing manager, Cathy Snow. “These designs honour the original artworks, while bringing them beautifully into three dimensions on furniture. Our four-year collaboration with Sofas & Stuff has been exciting and rewarding, and, in Roots of a Masterpiece, is celebrated in a thrilling and moving way.”
Sofas & Stuff will debut the new licensed collection at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025 that is taking place from May 20 to May 24.
