The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has endorsed three fencing products in a partnership with the British garden company Jacksons Fencing.
“At Jacksons Fencing, we continually strive to develop products that improve our landscapes and gardens but also have the lowest impact on the environment as possible,” said Jacksons Fencing director, Peter Jackson. “It’s a sentiment that the RHS shares with us, so we are naturally delighted to have the endorsement of Britain’s favourite gardening charity for these premium products.”
Jacksons Fencing is a family-owned company that manufactures premium fences, gates, and garden accessories. The endorsed products include a hedgehog-friendly gravel board and two premium fence panels called the Aran and Shadowline.
The Aran fence panel is a semi-solid panel with a traditional design for rural or wind-prone areas. The Shadowline fence panel features a privacy-focused contemporary design with a dynamic shadow that is cast in the gaps between each board.
The company’s hedgehog-friendly gravel board is designed to allow hedgehogs easy passage between gardens in an attempt to combat the decline of Britain’s hedgehog population.
All three products are made from Jacksons’ premium Jakcure treated timber. This treated timber is designed to protect against insect attacks and rot for 25 years.
The RHS-endorsed product collection is currently available online through Jacksons Fencing’s official web site and through the company’s three Jakstore retail locations.

Founded in 1804, the RHS is the UK’s largest gardening-focused charity. The RHS launched a new Sustainability Strategy in 2021, which states its commitment to become an environmentally net positive organization by 2030.
