Bloomingdale’s and Flamingo Estate Debut Pop-Up Market

January 29, 2025

By Allison Watkinson

TLL Reporter

Bloomingdale’s has announced a licensed pop-up market in partnership with the Flamingo Estate lifestyle brand.

The licensed pop-up features a variety of items from the brand’s collection of sustainably-crafted candles, pantry goods and bath & body products.

Taking place in New York, the Carousel @ Bloomingdale’s: Flamingo Estate will offer its products through imaginative displays that are inspired by the farms and orchards located on the grounds of the California-based Estate.

“Flamingo Estate is my home, and a celebration of everything we grow in California,” said Flamingo Estate founder, Richard Christiansen. “But before Flamingo Estate was born, I spent almost 20 years here in Manhattan dreaming of a garden and orchard and all the things I could make there. So in many ways, this is a homecoming for me. I always wanted to create a wonderful expression of my LA home and garden, here in New York. We’ve covered the ceiling with all of my favorite fragrant plants, the same ones I hang from the ceiling of my goat shed and garden office,” added Christiansen. “I’m so excited for my friends and all the people I love from my years in New York to come and experience my home, and take something back to theirs.”

The partnership with Flamingo Estate will also bring several in-store activations to Bloomingdale’s flagship 59th Street store throughout February and March.

These activations will include product sampling days, custom calligraphy product customization events and an in-person book signing for The Guide to Becoming Alive by Richard Christiansen.

“Collaborating with the iconic Flamingo Estate provides the unique opportunity to bring a piece of the garden to Bloomingdale’s and a part of the west coast to 59th street,” said Bloomingdale’s EVP, Frank Berman. “Richard has created such a unique and incredible brand with sought after and elevated products we know our customers have an appetite to experience.”

The collaboration between Bloomingdale’s and Flamingo Estate officially launched at the 59th Street store on January 23, with select products and information available through the company’s online shop.

Located in Los Angeles, the Flamingo Estate is a lifestyle company that offers a range of artisanal goods that are hand-made using high-quality, natural ingredients from local farmers and growers.

The company sources its ingredients through a network of over 125 tracable partners that specialize in regenerative farming techniques.
