Who’s News: Spin Master Announces Retirement of EVP and CFO Mark Segal

Spin Master has announced the upcoming retirement of the company’s EVP and CFO  Mark Segal in early 2025.
Spin Master is currently conducting an external search to find a suitable candidate to take over these executive roles at the company.
Segal originally joined Spin Master in 2001 and spent 10 years serving as CFO. He later rejoined Spin Master in 2015 as both EVP and CFO to lead the company’s initial public offering, international expansion, acquisitions and digital gaming initiatives. During his second term, Spin Master’s overall revenue grew from $983 million in 2015 to $1.9 billion in 2023.
“In his distinguished 20 years as CFO with Spin Master, Mark has steadfastly guided the company forward by applying his exceptional financial leadership to maintain a strong balance sheet and cash flow, which in turn has helped to provide a platform for our growth ambitions,” said Spin Master CEO, Max Rangel. “He has been an invaluable strategic advisor to me during my time with the company, consistently demonstrating his integrity, financial discipline and commitment to our strategic goals, while also establishing a strong finance team,” added Rangel. “On behalf of Spin Master’s founders and the company, I want to thank Mark for his incredible contributions that have furthered our leadership within the children’s entertainment industry.”
Segal will officially retire from the company in the first half of 2025, but will  assist in the training and orientation of his successor to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
During his retirement, Segal will continue to work with the company in an advisory capacity.
