Spongebob Squarepants has stumbled into the Stumbleverse in a licensed deal between Paramount and the Stumble Guys video game.
Stumble Guys is a hugely popular mobile game played by tens of millions of people every week. The game focuses on a party battle royale game with fast-paced multiplayer gameplay, and more importantly, social mechanics that make playing with friends easy. It’s not uncommon to see groups of friends put together Stumble Guys parties. As well, The Stumble Guys will soon be moving to the ‘big screen’, launching a console version that will start with a new Xbox game. Players can already register for the new games at StumbleGuys.com for new games coming up on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 and lock in launch benefits, including early Beta access and free launch gifts.
The agreement with Paramount Consumer Products brings the whole Bikini Bottom crowd into the Stumbleverse, so groups of players can jump in with their favorite character, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward, Plankton, and The Flying Dutchman. The crisis prone Spongebob crew will face a wide array of challenging and imaginative events, tournaments and levels; multiple game-play modes; personalized and expressive customization options; and more. The game is designed so both beginners and experts can challenge their skills, with seasoned players able to perform some pretty unbelievable feats.
Players of all levels are now able to compete around SpongeBob SquarePants locations like SpongeBob’s home and the Krusty Krab, enjoying fully themed collection milestones, exclusive in-game events, and tournaments throughout the month, all dedicated to celebrating the imaginative and expansive worlds of “Stumble Guys” and SpongeBob SquarePants.
The Stumble Guys and SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration will include:
Two new levels, each offering various gameplay types such as knockout racing and elimination; newly designed SpongeBob Stumblers to play and engage with throughout the events; Emotes, Animations and Footsteps such as special Spatula Slap, Handsome Squidward, and Surprised SpongeBob emotes, and the Bubble Twirl and Jellyfishing victory animations.
