The Point.1888 has secured additional licensing partnerships and product launches for BBC’s primetime brand, The Repair Shop.
The Repair Shop is a reality TV series which follows a team of experts from various disciplines as they work to restore family heirlooms and antiques.
The licensing partnerships and product launches secured for The Repair Shop include greetings cards from Cardology, board games and puzzles by Rachel Lowe, and a beauty and gifts range from Sting in the Tail.
A brand new licensee to the programme, Cardology will create a range of high-quality, 3D greeting cards featuring images inspired by The Repair Shop brand.
“As a card publisher, just occasionally a stand-out property comes along that speaks directly to intergenerational connection,” said Cardology director, David Falkner. “The Repair Shop adds further themes of consistency and belonging during times of change, and the application of time, love and thought, both of which we know our customers respond strongly to when selecting Cardology products. It’s for these reasons we’re hugely excited about the range of Repair Shop lines we’re bringing to the market.”
The licensed board game developer, Rachel Lowe has been tasked with creating a new board game and puzzle based on The Repair Shop series for launch later this year.
The UK-based Sting in the Tail brand is producing an extensive product collection for The Repair Shop as part of an ongoing licensing partnership. The range will include products in the categories of health, beauty, stationary, gifting and more. The products will be available at independent stores and garden centres across the UK.
“We are thrilled with the amazing licensees we have secured so far and I personally love the mix of products that we are developing,” said The Point.1888 manager, Carrie Sharland. “We’re so proud to work with a brand that brings so much joy to the nation and we look forward to working with our new partners on extending the reach of The Repair Shop even further.”
