Xilam Animation has signed a slate of new licensing partnerships for its portfolio of global entertainment series.
The partnerships include a wide range of multi-category deals for the studio’s Zig & Sharko, Space Goofs, Buddybot and Oggy and the Cockroaches franchises.
“Across our slate, we’re looking to give fans fresh and creative ways to engage with their favourite characters beyond the screen,” said Xilam Animation brand manager, Chloé Menier. “These new partnerships demonstrate the strength of our brands and diversity of their appeal—everyone from children, adults and kidults from around the world can show their love for both our legacy and new titles with a variety of touchpoints from games to apparel.”
Designed to coincide with the brand’s 15th anniversary, Xilam is announcing new activations and partnerships for its slapstick comedy series, Zig & Sharko.
The newly announced Zig & Sharko licensees include Game Plak for a marble board game, PTS for plush toys and Snuggly Figs for infant and children’s fashion.
Game Plak is scheduled to launch its Zig & Sharko board game across Europe this September, while PTS will introduce its licensed character plush in Italy.
Created from sustainable bamboo, Snuggly Figs’ Zig & Sharko collection will introduce products across multiple markets around the world.
This includes retail markets located throughout Europe, Canada, Latin America, MENA, India, Thailand and the US.
In addition to the Zig & Sharko collection, Snuggly Figs is also developing a line of products for the Oggy and the Cockroaches IP.
For its Space Goofs comedy franchise, Xilam has launched several partnerships designed to appeal to nostalgic adult fans.
These partnerships include activations and collections such as a collaborative pop-up store, graphic apparel, gaming accessories and a licensed board game.
Available for two days at Uniqlo’s Toulouse store, the Space Goofs pop-up offered a collection of t-shirts, sweatshirts and trousers that featured licensed graphics by the French artist Supraw.
The limited-edition Space Goofs shop was a collaborative effort between Uniqlo France, Supraw, Xilam and Manne & Co.
Trade Invaders has signed on to develop branded gaming accessories for Space Goofs, as well as a Zig & Sharko board game that will launch in 2026.
The Trade Invaders products will launch across France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Quebec and the US.
In addition to these new licensees, Xilam is also expanding its existing partnership with the Celio for Space Goofs-inspired underwear and t-shirts.
These products will be available throughout EMEA, Latin America and India.
Additional activations include a licensed Buddybot card game from Topla and a merchandising program for the upcoming preschool series, Piggy Builders.
This extensive slate of licensing deals was announced ahead of Xilam Animation’s exhibition during France Licensing Day on July 1, 2025.
“We’re looking forward to building on these collaborations as we continue to drive growth within our licensing activity, as well as meeting with new and existing partners at this year’s France Licensing Day,” said Menier.
