Kung Fu Tea and UP&E have announced a licensing partnership for the upcoming release of the How to Train Your Dragon live-action movie.
For the partnership, Kung Fu Tea will be uniting dragon imagery from both brands’ with exclusive beverage flavors, custom packaging, limited-edition collectibles and more.
The beverages featured in the activation include three dragonfruit-inspired flavors called Toothless Soaring Slush, Stormfly’s Dragonfruit Splash and Monstrous Flight Tea.
Each licensed drink will be sold in custom packaging that features popular dragon designs from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise.
In addition, every purchase of the limited-edition How to Train Your Dragon drinks will include a collectible trading cards, while supplies last.
The exclusive trading cards featured in the promotion span eleven different designs that are offered in varying levels of rarity.
Running from May 15 to June 30, the licensed beverages will be available at Kung Fu Tea locations throughout the United States.
As an additional exclusive activation, customers can also receive a limited-edition Toothless Boba Buddy sticker on the film’s official premiere date on June 13.
To further promote the collaboration, Kung Fu Tea is hosting a special Instagram sweepstakes that offers fans a chance to win $100 in Kung Fu Tea credit and movie tickets.
The upcoming How to Train Your Dragon movie from director Dean DeBlois is designed as a live-action remake of the original DreamWorks Animation film.
Inspired by a book series by author Cressida Cowell, How to Train Your Dragon follows a Viking teenager who ends a feud between his clan and dragons through an unlikely friendship with a dreaded Night Fury.
