Tsuburaya Productions has announced a range of new Ultraman merchandise and content ahead of its presence at Licensing Expo 2025.
Presenting at Booth M204, the company will showcase a variety of licensed products and entertainment media as the Ultraman brand gears up for its 60th anniversary.
The new Ultraman merchandise will include several ranges of toys, collectibles, novelty items and more from licensees like Funko, Mondo, Basic Fun and Funmaker.
A renewal of its previous collaboration with Tsuburaya, Funko has signed on to develop a line of toys and collectibles based on Ultraman Classic. This new collection follows last year’s launch of a Funko Pop Jumbo Chan Ultraman figure.
Mondo has been selected to produce a line of Ultraman collectibles that includes posters, soundtracks, toys and more.
Basic Fun! has been signed to produce a global collection of licensed plush and novelty products.
Owned by former Funko executive Mike Becker, the Funmaker company will be adding Ultraman to its existing collection of Rokimoto ramen noodle cups and mini figurines.
These new partners will join existing licensees such as BNTCA, Marvel Entertainment, Mezco Toys and Bioworld.
Tsuburaya Productions plans to continue growing the franchise’s licensing program by seeking new partnerships across toys, hardlines, food, beverage, digital media, gaming and more.
For entertainment, the franchise is promoting its upcoming live-action series, Ultraman Omega, which is scheduled to debut in July 2025.
Designed to attract both existing fans and new audiences, the Ultraman Omega series will be broadcast across Japan, alongside its international release on streaming channels.
In addition, the company recently debuted a free ad-supported TV (FAST) channel that is dedicated to Ultraman content, through a partnership with Mill Creek Entertainment.
Available through Prime Video, the Ultraman FAST channel brings close to 210 hours of curated content that spans the franchise’s extensive catalog of TV series, spin-offs and films.
In the past six months, the Ultraman franchise has expanded its North American streaming footprint to include seven new ad-supported VOD platforms.
These new platforms include Amazon Prime, Fawesome, Happy Kids, Plex, Pluto TV, Roku and Tubi.
Owned by Tsuburaya Productions, Ultraman is a global science-fiction superhero franchise that originally debuted in the 1966 Ultra Q TV series.
Since its creation, the Ultraman franchise has expanded to include a wide range of TV series, films, video games, licensed consumer products and more.
