Gemmy Industries and WBDGCP are launching a licensed Halloween décor collection for the 20th anniversary of the Corpse Bride film.
Available exclusively at Lowe’s, the licensed collection offers several decorative items that can be added to themed Halloween displays.
The full collection includes an animated musical cloche, a wall art backdrop and two life-size, animatronic figures of the Corpse Bride, Emily Merrimack and her accidental groom, Victor Van Dort.
Standing on a black base with text of the film’s title, the musical Corpse Bride cloche is a small indoor decoration that features the two protagonists as they dance in their wedding garb to atmospheric piano music.
Spanning 8 ft by 5 ft, the Corpse Bride backdrop features background imagery of a blue-toned graveyard with a moonlit center that depicts Victor and Emily framed in heart-shaped tree limbs.
The image also includes a banner with stylized text that poses a major question from the film, ‘Can The Living Marry The Dead?’.
Programmed with both sound and motion activation, the highlight of the licensed collection is the two life-size Corpse Bride character figures.
The animated figure of the ghostly Emily Merrimack features flowing blue hair, a dirt-stained wedding ensemble, exposed skeletal parts and a dead floral bouquet.
In addition, the Corpse Bride figure features a turning motion, a recording of her Tears to Shed song and her Maggot companion that pops out of her eye.
For the Victor Van Dort figure, Gemmy Industries has created a 6 ft tall figure that wears the character’s grey wedding suit, a dazed expression and large, sunken eyes.
The licensed Victor figure is programmed to move his head from side to side and speak a selection of phrases from the movie.
Both of the Corpse Bride animatronics include easy assembly instructions, base stands and electrical power cords.
Co-directed by Mike Johnson and Tim Burton, Corpse Bride is a 2005 stop-motion animated horror-fantasy film from Tim Burton Productions and Laika Entertainment.
Distributed and licensed by Warner Bros., the movie deals with dark themes such as the afterlife, deceit, murder, arranged marriages, unrequited love and class disparities while maintaining a whimsical atmosphere.
Gemmy Industries is a product design and manufacturing company that provides a variety of high-quality products for the seasonal decor market.
The licensing rights to the Corpse Bride IP are managed by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Revenue & Strategy division.
