Final Days Before the POC Conference Begins

October 30, 2024

Article Submitted

Now in its fifth year, the Products of Change Conference (formerly the Sustainability in Licensing Conference) returns November 6 to the Royal Geographical Society in London as the industry’s most dynamic event, connecting retailers, brand owners, and product manufacturers.

Can’t make it in person? The whole event is going to be livestreamed, with digital tickets available so no one misses out.

Once again, the POC Conference will deliver a day brimming with innovation, sustainability insights, critical leadership discussions, and networking opportunities. It will showcase and celebrate all the achievements the brand licensing industry has made in the last year on its journey of sustainable development.

This year, you can expect vital conversations around legislation challenges, with the latest guidance from POC advisors and industry stakeholders on compliance; discussions around circularity from Primark, Dunelm, and Pure Table Top; groundbreaking cross-industry collaborations, such as the children’s publishing sector which has undergone sector-wide change; and a plethora of product and system innovations, from digital product passports (DPPs), bio-based fluff for textiles and toys, or ethically produced chocolate bars from Tony’s Chocolonely.

“At this year’s POC Conference we are so looking forward to showcasing and celebrating all the achievements our industry has made in the last year on its journey of sustainable development, said Helena Mansell-Stopher, founder and CEO of Products of Change. “We sincerely hope that this year’s conference agenda will deliver masses of inspiration and food for thought, whether you are a supplier, retailer, brand owner or facilitator on your respective sustainability journey.”

Additionally, the 2024 Conference will see the return of the POC Member Awards, aligning with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The inaugural POC Member SDG Awards last year were presided over by Caroline Petit, the European Deputy Director for the United Nations Regional Information Centre, in a display of POC’s alignment and working relationship with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

This year, there are a host of fantastic contenders for the awards, exhibiting great strides in sustainable change across the lengths and breadths of the industry. The POC Members Awards will honour these outstanding sustainability achievements and exemplify what’s possible on this journey of innovation and improvement.

POC is fortunate to be joined by an array of knowledgeable and impactful speakers: Hannah Perry and Georgina Savva, Tony’s Chocolonely; Gemma Butler and Michelle Carvill, Can Marketing Save the Planet; Matt Young, Bravado; Nick Lambert, Primark; Michelle Papayannakos, Paramount; Jamie Beck and Jonathan Baker, Fabacus; Didier Bergert, Consumer Goods Forum; Tracey Richardson, Louis Kennedy; Niina Niemelä, UPM; Steve Plackett, Carousel Calendars; Anand Punja, FSC Trace; Nicola Torode, DK Books; Anne Bradford, Poetic Brands; Jakob Max Hamann and Sine Møller, LEGO; Harini Manivannan, South Pole; Tanith Sellicks, Pure Table Top; Austin Simms, Dayrize; Carmel Giblin, ESCP; Lisa Ly and Jo Seddon, Dunelm; Steph Cooper, Immediate Media; Duncan Shearer, Seymour; and Roni Gamzon, Bio-Fluff.
