Licensed Fashion Giant Erve Group Sets Up UK Subsidiary

January 17, 2022

The global fashion powerhouse Erve Group has expanded in the UK with the launch of a new, locally based company.

Called Erve UK & Ireland, the new subsidiary brings more than 35 years of licensing and brand experience directly to the UK and Ireland markets.

“We have been servicing the UK & Ireland apparel markets for many years through our pan-European retail partners,” said CEO Martijn van der Erve. “Now is the time to invest in a permanent and long-term presence in these key markets.”

Erve Group was founded in 1985 by the van der Erve family, and since then has grown into a sprawling, global leader in the fashion industry. Erve Group services more than 35,000 retail stores and produces more than 60 million apparel or accessory items per year. The company focuses on being a market leader in quality and compliance by maintaining full control of its supply chain, from the raw materials all the way to the store shelves.

Now the Erve Group has announced the official launch of its new UK-based company, which offers high-quality licensed and branded fashion and apparel to UK and Irish consumers of all ages in the following categories: daywear, nightwear, underwear, socks/hosiery, swimwear and accessories.

“We are financially strong and a reliable strategic partner in an ever-changing and volatile global economy,” van der Erve says. “Our long-term focus, prudent approach, and global reach have allowed us to grow and invest year after year.”

Erve UK & Ireland’s core business is designing and producing high-quality fashion apparel and accessories, specifically for the UK & Ireland consumer. They offer year-round, seasonal, and promotional products designed to be worn throughout the end consumer’s entire day: getting up, going to school or work, recreational activities, going swimming or doing sports, and dressing for bed again. With a highly skilled global design team (based in eight countries, including the UK), with robust licence and brand knowledge, and access to closely controlled production facilities around the world, the entire process, from concept to production, packaging, and delivery is in very experienced hands from day one. In addition to licensed and branded apparel and accessories, the company also produces private label apparel for large retailers.

“Our mission at Erve UK & Ireland is to increase value without compromise,” said Tom Rossi, the new company’s managing director. “We increase retailer value through maximising their margins and volumes with high-quality products from reliable sources, and brand owner value through improved market coverage in line with their brand and business expectations. Our team has a vast amount of hands-on experience in the UK & Ireland apparel markets and a deep knowledge of the retail sector and end consumer, having held senior roles at market-leading organisations as brand owners, licensees and suppliers with a strong UK retail foothold.”
