Playmobil Goes Where No Toy Has Gone Before

August 12, 2021

A new collaboration with ViacomCBS has resulted in what may be the coolest Playmobil set of all time: a one-meter-long, interactive replica of the Star Ship USS Enterprise from the original Star Trek series.

Playmobil is launching its first ever model of the Starship Enterprise, and the toy company has gone all out.

The Playmobil version of the Starship Enterprise boasts extremely authentic details from the fan favorite original Star Trek series and features that will thrill long-time fans. The Enterprise ships out with seven crew members from the original show, including the first-ever Playmobil version of Mr. Spock. Crew members are also equipped with accurate portrayals of various iconic Star Trek gizmos, including phasers, tricorders and communicators.

Playmobil’s meter long replica of the Starship Enterprise includes a bridge that accommodates seven of the original crew members from Star Trek.

All of the crew members can fit into the impressively detailed bridge of the vessel, which also features a realistic engine room for the ship.

The Starship Enterprise can be displayed on a specially designed mount, and a newly designed Artificial Reality app can be downloaded that Playmobil says will expand the Star Trek experience “much further than the physical product.”

“To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations, to boldly go where no one has gone before … and now, with the authentic U.S.S. Enterprise and original crew from Playmobil, there will be plenty more space adventures to come,” Playmobil said.

The Star Trek – USS Enterprise will be available globally on Sept. 8.
