UFC is promoting Meghan Mernin to the position of VP of licensing for global consumer products.
Since Mernin initially joined UFC in 2021, she has worked to drive new business for the MMA organization and establish a specialized licensing program for the company’s niche market.
Mernin has also been responsible for securing and directing UFC’s global licensing and retail initiatives alongside UFC’s exclusive licensing agency, IMG.
In addition, Mernin provides account management services for the majority of UFC’s existing licensees such as Panini, Timex and Culture Kings.
“Meghan has proven to be a key leader of our team and has helped grow UFC’s consumer products licensing business over the last two years,” said UFC SVP, Tracey Bleczinski. “She has been vital in shaping UFC’s global licensing effort, and with her guidance the demand by best-in-class manufacturers and retailers to partner with UFC has never been stronger.”
In her newly expanded role, Mernin will also oversee the company’s digital products team and oversee UFC’s current and future business plans with licensees in the gaming and digital space.
This includes existing UFC licensing partners such as EA Sports, Draft Kings, and Concept Labs.
Before she joined UFC, Mernin worked for one year with Equity Management Inc. as director of client sales management.
Prior to EMI, Mernin spent seven years building licensing programs for high-profile musicians at Universal Music Group’s brand management subsidiary, Epic Rights.
