Xilam Animation has appointed Bavaria Licensing and DeAPlaneta Entertainment as new licensing agents for its preschool spin-off franchise, Oggy Oggy.
The new licensing agents will develop and secure Oggy Oggy merchandise programs and partnerships in their respective regions.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Xilam Animation on Oggy Oggy, our new dedicated preschool brand,” said Bavaria Licensing SM, Luisa Kleinschmidt. “The unique, catchy design of the series with its adorable and curious characters immediately stole our hearts! In their fantasy playful world, Oggy Oggy and his friends go on various adventures and teach our little ones important values such as creativity, courage and team spirit.”
Bavaria Licensing will handle the licensing rights for Oggy Oggy in Germany and DeAPlaneta Entertainment will be responsible for France, Spain, Portugal, Central Europe, and Eastern Europe.
Both agencies will seek licensing partners for the Oggy Oggy brand in the apparel, gifting, back-to-school and home goods categories.
Bavaria and DeAPlaneta join the Oggy Oggy franchise’s existing agent for the UK market, Licensing Matters.
In addition to the new licensing agents, Xilam has secured two product partnerships for the brand with Hachette publishing and the audio entertainment company, Tonies.
Hachette has been selected to produce a collection of Oggy Oggy storybooks, sticker albums, and more that will launch in France in January 2024.
Tonies has signed on for licensed Oggy Oggy audio for its Toniebox audio system. The Oggy Oggy x Toniebox audio will be available in France, Switzerland and Belgium in November 2023.
Xilam Animation’s Oggy Oggy preschool property serves as both a spin-off series and a prequel to the studio’s Oggy and the Cockroaches comedy franchise.

The first season of Oggy Oggy debuted globally on Netflix in August 2021 and is available on numerous free-to-air broadcasters worldwide.
Since its debut, Oggy Oggy has expanded to include digital media such as a website, a YouTube channel and an e-commerce shop.
The dedicated Oggy Oggy e-shop features licensed products from the franchise’s master toy partner, the Simba Dickie Group.
Simba Dickie’s master toy range for the Oggy Oggy franchise launched in stores across France, Germany and Italy for Christmas 2022.
The licensed toy range will be adding new plush figures and extending into additional European markets this year.

The appointment of these new licensing agents and product partners demonstrates the growing international presence for the CG-animated series.
Xilam Animation intends to continue its efforts to build the international broadcasting and licensing teach of the Oggy Oggy franchise going forward.
