Surge Brands has been appointed as the exclusive global licensing agent for the Romano’s Macaroni Grill restaurant brand.
Known for its from-scratch Italian cuisine, Romano’s Macaroni Grill is a restaurant brand that is inspired by cultural traditions from Italy.
The restaurant franchise company utilizes open kitchen concepts, honor system wine and opera-singing servers to create a welcoming and authentic experience for its guests.
“Our brand is built on the principle that hospitality and great food bring people together,” said Romano’s Macaroni Grill CEO, Jason Kemp. “We’ve created a dining experience that feels like home, and now we’re excited to extend that warmth, tradition, and quality into new lifestyle categories through this partnership with Surge Brands. It’s about capturing that full-sensory Italian experience—anywhere and everywhere.”
Under the terms of the representation agreement, Surge Brands will launch a comprehensive licensing program to bring the restaurant brand into new retail markets and product categories.
The agency will focus on expanding the restaurant’s consumer product portfolio across categories such as lifestyle, fresh food, kitchenware, meal kits, frozen food, home goods, tabletop décor and more.
“We are thrilled to welcome Romano’s Macaroni Grill to our brand portfolio,” said Surge Brands VP, Ari Freedman. “This is a brand with powerful consumer equity and rich storytelling potential. By extending its charm and culinary credibility into new product lines, we have the opportunity to create something truly unique in the licensing world—products that feel like a dinner party in Tuscany, with all the flavor and fun that Macaroni Grill is known for.”
Surge Brands will be presenting Romano’s Macaroni Grill to potential partners at Booth #G108 during the upcoming Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.
A sister company to Surge Licensing, Surge Brands focuses on representing properties in the corporate, luxury, food and confectionery categories.
